Private Training is the best way to reach your own true potential. Private sessions are open to students of all levels including those new to Pilates as well as athletes and those seeking to become a certified instructor. Your private instructor will discuss your personal goals and concerns as well as provide you with a fitness assessment based on your goals and then guide you through a workout plan that you are comfortable with.
Each one on one session will be guided movement patterns that are specific to your goals, strengths, and restrictions. Instructors will help rectify imbalances, and increase both flexibility, and muscle tone through exercises that provide resistance and lengthening. These classes can be personalized with resistance from the equipment.
We suggest that one starts with Private training and once understanding the work and mastering the concepts move onto semi privates, trios and group classes
Private sessions are beneficial to all walks of life and no prior Pilates or BodyCode knowledge is necessary. Clients will learn about proper alignment while creating symmetry and body awareness. Pilates provides balance and harmony with everyday movements and trains the body to release tension.
Clients looking for rehabilitation discover movements and stretches to encourage proper healing, while still being able to exercise and maintain muscle tone. Whether the injury or ailment is acute or chronic, our trainers will meet your specific needs to bring the body back to balance and harmony.

We are pleased to announce
The Pink Ribbon Program
to be offered at ArtForm Pilates & BodyCode Studio. |
The Pink Ribbon Program™ was developed by Doreen Puglisi after her personal triumph over breast cancer and enduring mastectomy. With control over the situation and a proactive involvement in her recovery, Doreen regained the sense of wellbeing that had been lost from diagnosis through surgery and into recovery. These major areas of concern typically include body image, frozen shoulder, and/or range of motion, depression and anxiety.
Thankfully, due to early prevention awareness, breast cancers, as well as other cancers, are no longer being viewed as an automatic death sentence, but instead as a chronic illness. Recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for all cancer survivors.
This program is designed to offer breast cancer survivors an exercise routine to help maintain movement in the affected area (shoulder and arm), help begin daily activities, decrease joint stiffness, and improve overall wellbeing.
The Pink Ribbon Program™ works in conjunction to your doctor’s recommendations for an exercise program. You may use this program in conjunction or as a follow-up program to any prescribed physical therapy.
Exercise protocols like The Pink Ribbon Program are needed more than ever as the population of cancer survivors grow.
This post-rehabilitation sessions are open to all breast cancer survivors whether their surgery was eight weeks ago or ten years ago.
Pilates for a better birth: ArtForm Studio is pleased to offer Allegro Reformer Pilates classes that are specifically tailored for the well-being of pregnant women, taught by our experienced instructors with special training in pre- and post-partum exercise. Come experience camaraderie with other pregnant women while you enjoy the many benefits that Pilates can bring about during pregnancy, labor, delivery and recovery.
Our Pilates for Pregnancy classes provide a full-body “work-in” that targets the core, strengthening abdominal and pelvic floor muscles—which are vital for pushing during delivery. Pilates also strengthens the lower back, legs and arms, increases spinal flexibility, lengthens the spine and waist, and opens the chest and shoulders. Focusing on these areas through controlled, supervised movements on our Allegro Reformer machines addresses the structural and postural imbalances that may occur during pregnancy without the likelihood of injury or over-stretching. Movements are modified for maximum safety during each trimester and special “C” shaped seats are used to avoid lying on the back.
You can expect to feel physically and mentally better throughout your pregnancy and delivery due to improving your body awareness, breathing, coordination, balance, stability and stress level. Our techniques are highly compatible with natural childbirth plans such as the Bradley method. Continuing a pre- and post-partum Pilates program can also aid in a faster recovery and effectively restore pre-baby fitness, even after a Cesarean section.
Dancers will quickly find the benefits of Pilates and BodyCode, both of which are intended to strengthen and lengthen the body with a focus on core strength which is optimal. Dancers will recognize particular movements, yet have extra resistance or stretch added to promote proper alignment, balance, control, concentration, coordination, and breath for a harmonious movement. Sessions with trainers who have had professional careers in dance can really make a difference in the needs of a dancer. In our individual training we can focus on increasing turnout, flexibility and strength of the foot and ankle, extensions, arabesque, jumps and pelvic alignment. Most importantly the dancer will achieve overall health and knowledge for optimal performance and injury prevention.
Ice skaters can focus on increasing flexibility and core strength to enhance Axel Jumps, Camel Spins, Bielman’s, Spirals and more. Coordination and balance becomes an emphasis in training to improve posture and body awareness. As ex-professional dancers some trainers can also work on routine cleanliness and optimal biomechanics to improve musicality and fluidity of the routine. Whether the skater is an individual skater or a pair we will help you to achieve your goals. (we recommend the partner trains as well).
Golfers of all ages are welcome to come have their posture and swing watched and analyzed from a Pilates point of view. Posture and balance and core strength are key in developing a cohesive and powerful swing. Golfers will work on correcting muscular imbalances and rectifying coordination issues. Excellent to balance out overuse issues for injury prevention as well.
Swimmers and divers find balance and strength through Resistance stretching training. Pilates and BodyCode along with the Ki-Hara technique of resistance stretch will increase flexibility and improves muscular performance.Athletes will challenge their bodies and performance with resistance based movements to promote agility and coordination within their sporting movements. Stretching particular muscles vital to their sport is also a main focus seeing that an increase in flexibility in conjunction with strength training will help athletes reach their peak performance. Core strength is very important. For any athlete and focusing on these muscle groups can immensely enhance performance and prevent injury.
